Changing your Office 365 (email) password

  1. In a web browser, log into Office 365 at www.office365.com (add this address as a Favourite in your browser for easy access in the future)

  2. In the top-right of the screen, click Sign In and select Work, School or University





  3. Enter your email address, click Work or school account (if asked) and enter your current email password (this may not be the same as your cloud password!)




  4. One logged in, click the cog wheel (top right) for Settings, Office 365 Settings




  5. Then click Password, Change your password and follow the prompts




  6. Close Outlook and re-open it.  Within a few minutes, a password prompt will appear – enter your new password here, remembering to tick the Remember Password box, and press OK


  7. If you have your email accounts on your phone or tablet, a password prompt will also appear here – enter your new password
